BCL is proud to be a long-time supporter of education in Bougainville. Earlier this month our team members, including Peter Garuai and Rizphar Lalai, were out and about visiting several local schools in the Panguna project area, where we have provided some assistance with important upgrades. All schools expressed appreciation for the support, and we are pleased to contribute towards improving facilities for students and teachers alike.
- Kirokai Grammar School, in Arawa sponsored materials for completion of an ablution block with water tanks.
- Dapera Primary School, assistance with school renovations to support educational restructure.
- Dapera Early Childhood, support for building renovation materials, labour and logistics.
- St Martin Orami Primary School in Panguna District, assisted with construction of a staff house.
- Kokore Primary School, supported the purchase of materials for a four in one classroom and staff house.
