1. Quarterly Production Report
The Directors of Bougainville Copper Limited (ASX: BOC) report that there has been no production since 15 May 1989.
2. Strategic Partnership Process Update
BOC commenced a confidential strategic partnering process in 2025 to investigate the potential involvement of an international mining partner in the future redevelopment of the Panguna Project (Strategic Partnering Process).
The Strategic Partnering Process remains ongoing. Recent progress has included constructive discussions with the Autonomous Bougainville Government (ABG) in relation to its role and level of participation in the redevelopment of the Panguna Project in conjunction with a mining partner.
There is no certainty that any partnership arrangements will arise from these discussions. Any partnership arrangements and BOC’s participation in the redevelopment of the Panguna Project will be subject to the approval of the ABG.
The ABG is the governing body of Bougainville, with powers under the Constitution of the Autonomous Region of Bougainville and Constitution of Papua New Guinea in regard to all mining activities on Bougainville.
Following recent share transfers described in BOC’s ASX announcement dated 14 January 2026, ABG now owns or controls approximately 72.9% of the shares on issue in the Company, inclusive of its interest through Bougainville Minerals Ltd.
