Highly-valued BCL team member Ezekiel Burain recently obtained a Diploma in Data Analysis and Business Intelligence through Datec Learning Centres. He achieved this qualification while juggling full-time work with BCL as a senior project officer with classes every Saturday for eight months and the completion of challenging assessment tasks.
The course saw Ezekiel further develop his skills in analysing, interpreting and using data which helps aid better-informed corporate decision-making. BCL is committed to supporting the ongoing development of its team members through further education and vocational training.
“I am privileged to have the support of company management to undertake this training and develop new and relevant skills in data analysis, as the use of data has become critical for employees and companies to achieve organizational goals and objectives. I look forward to applying the skills and knowledge gained from this training to my current line of work,” Ezekiel said.
In the mining industry the smart use of data is critical to project management and these skills are also very much transferrable to many other areas.
