Maryanne was appointed to the board in February 2023. She is a highly-regarded women’s leader who brings more than 23 years’ experience in accounting and auditing, working for the Internal Revenue Commission of Papua New Guinea.
Maryanne hails from Bana District in Bougainville and has family links with the landowners from the lower tailings area of the Panguna mine and has a keen interest in Bougainville’s economic development and mining policy.
She holds a Master of Commerce and Taxation from Western Australia’s Curtin University of Technology and a Bachelor of Business Studies specialising in accounting from PNG’s Divine Word University. She is also a member of the Certified Practising Accountants of Papua New Guinea (CPA PNG).
