Bougainville Copper Foundation (BCF) is a fully-owned subsidiary of BCL that operates as a ‘not-for-profit’ company.
Since 1997, BCF has focused on providing educational opportunities for Bougainvilleans and has supported more than 1,200 students in disciplines that will directly benefit Bougainville’s development.
BCF is proud of its achievements to date and in particular those of the many students it has supported who have built successful careers for themselves.
Due to the current uncertainty surrounding proposed changes to Bougainville’s mining laws and the ongoing Judicial Review of EL1 in 2019, the BCF committee has decided to defer the awarding of any new scholarships until further notice.
